Air Pollution: Who Is Accountable?

The world has had the issue of air pollution for a long period of time. It is a wide spread issue that has affected every person and every living thing. Most of the pollution is produced by the chemicals spewed into the air as a result of industrialization. This is very much a trade off most people are willing to accept for what is considered the continuing development of society. We not merely have lots of things that make life a lot easier but it has created jobs for many.

We do not know how to deal with the problem as industrialization has improved our lives in one aspect but has also harmed our lives on the other. One example, our car has helped many of us to lead prosperous lives but it pollutes the air however no serious initiatives have been made to build clean driving cars. We now have the technology to create energy-efficient cars and trucks but we are expected to change the way we drive by car pooling or catching the bus. For our society to progress, we need to stop misusing energy even if you have the money to waste.

Emission laws have helped lessen the amount of pollutants that go into the air. The air in the United States improved to some extent since many industrial facilities were moved overseas. Although the air is better in the United States, the result is loss of jobs and a stagnate economy. In the course of history, people have had to make choices on what is the best for the people, and the final results can't always be judged until a long time down the road. It's easy to blame everything on mankind, but nature does a lot of damage itself. Cutting down trees can be a cause of concern for the planet, but how many trees are damaged annually by forest fires due to lightning?

Trees are likewise damaged by tornadoes and hurricanes. Volcanoes also have caused a great deal of the air pollution for millions of years. There needs to be a way to figure out if all the recent natural disasters were brought on only by nature or if man had a hand in it. If we're the problem, then we should put in the effort to be the solution. It should not just be put on the backs of the poorer men and women, because they are not the ones responsible. There has to be a way to get the wealthy to find ways to fix this problem without needing to make money off of it.

It would be ideal to have a car that is energy efficient for many people. Having an energy efficient house is also ideal.
