Fighting Germs with the utilisation of Silver coating!

Germs have consistently been a difficulty for people ever since humanity came into being. Almost each type of known illness occurs due to the germs present in the environment. Folks do whatever they can to ward off the harmful germs in their residences and keep their family and family safe by employing sanitizers for example. A new methodology in paint producing can actually help people in making their houses bug free. Not only homes, any surface on which such paints will be used can become literally bug-free surfaces. Paint researchers have made a form of paint that has silver nanoparticles in it. It's been scientifically demonstrated that surfaces that have silver coating ward off germs. That is why all of the medical and surgical instruments go thru the method of silver coating. The silver nanoparticles that are presently being added in paints have been known to kill bacteria and other kinds of germs. Such sort of paints will be very useful in coating the infirmary surfaces and counters to avoid bacterial growth. It has been proved by the CDC or the U.S. Centers for Illness Control and Prevention that just about more than 1,000,000 folks contract diseases from hospices yearly. The silver coating in itself is a good bacteria killer and silver nanopartcles in principle are good in beating off the littlest sort of microbes.

With all of the experiments that have been done, this silver coating hasn't shown any negative results on human health. Some researchers aren't so pleased about using silver nanoparticles in paints and say that not enough research has been done. According to these analysts, the silver in these paints kills good as well as bad microorganism and this may have a detrimental effect in the future. These analysts have further said that there should be a level of restriction that specifies the quantity of silver nanoparticles to be utilized in such products.

Many analysts have tested this silver coating of paint on E. Coli and other kinds of bacteria. The experiment consisted mainly of a glass surface and a lick of paint on it. The surface with the paint showed no bacterial expansion and the surface without the silver coating paint had bacterial expansion present on it.

These researches has shown that bacteria cannot form a resistance against the action of silver present in such paints and therefore, such paints will always kill the bacteria present around it. The scale of the silver nanoparticles also has to be seen as changing the size changes the color of the paint. Today lots of research is being conducted to see if such paints have any negative results on human health. They also have to see the time duration such paints would be well placed to retain their bacteria killing properties.

Present results suggest that the time duration is of three-years but with more research this time duration can also be increased. Many individuals are still not ok with using silver based products but in years to come, such paints will be surely provided to the consumer market.
